Moving, Mazimizing/Minimizing, Tiling, Resizing Any Window Works Perfectly. Fullscreening and Video Playback also works fine.
Alt-tabing works, and so does virtual workspaces - liking the new
overview btw :).
Played the following games with 0 issues with FPS, crashes or full-screening (some, like Halo 3 played better than on FW39!):
(one dash means havent tested yet, two dashes means has tested)
- Halo 3 through Master Chief Collection (Steam, Proton Experimental)
- The Sims 4 (Steam, Proton Experimental)
- Tom Clancy: The Divison 2 (Steam, Proton Experimental)
- Ratopia (Steam, Proton Experimental)
- 100% Orange Juice (Steam, Proton Experimental)
- TF2 (Steam, Native Linux)
- Payday 2 (Heroic Games, WineGE)
- Rocket League (Heroic Games, WineGE)
Recorded with using both OBS and Spectacle with 0 issues
2. Able to create and switch users, log in/out, suspend and put the display to sleep. Unable to login to X11 thankfully, only the Wayland session is offered. 3. Audio works 100%. Switches outputs automatically, all audio jacks work, Elisa and Firefox can play audio perfectly. 4. Works as intended. 5. USB thumbdrives automount and display contents properly, can automount secondary hard-drive properly using the KDE Disk Parition. 6. Can install, uninstall and update Flatpaks from Discover, and update system from Discover. Did check for updates to rpm-ostree from Discover, but no updates arrived so unable to check for graphical updates to the underlying system. Installed steam through Discover, but needed me to manually install org.freedesktop.Platform.Compat.i386//23.08 via the termianl for Steam to work properly. |

this...mostly works? I suspect there's something amiss in XWayland for my game window.
2. the default scaling factor of SDDM appears to be 225%, making it impossible to use the username picker on the built-in screen. this scale factor is also in user defaults. otherwise this test worked. mostly. 3. have access to multiple external monitors (and docks with multiple outputs) 4. tested with: USB Stick, Data DVD, Audio CD. Kwin works as expected under wayland, beyond encountering already fixed bugs on RC2, very smooth experience otherwise, I have been using rpm steam to play games on it with zero issue with both native
linux builds and via proton. multimedia streaming via youtube at various resolutions works with no issue switching between screen modes with hardware acceleration working ootb on Firefox/Wayland. apologies for the double submit.
2. To add on further, I've also enabled Login and Logout sounds, and both work flawlessly. 3. I've created two users, and switched between them on the same boot with no issue, there is a cosmetic inconsistency with SDDM using the Adwaita cursor instead of the Breeze cursor by default. 4. using floating with custom width with a weather widget inserted on the default panel layout 5. USB C drive connects as expected on login. 6. Discover has been working great, the update notification also seems to be less prone to acting weird now compared to Plasma 5 on Fedora, although that might just be placebo. |

FF got unpinned from panel two times (after reboot), I haven't managed to figure out how to reproduce this.

opening files works as expected! Okular also detects additional packages like unrar to read file formats like .cbr correctly. Annotation works well with pen tablet support (using a wacom tablet and
kcm-tablet)
2. Local file browsing is excellent, moving aside already reported bugs in existing components like kio-admin (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468793), google drive / kio-gdrive appears to be completely broken, I can't find any similar bug on KDE's bug tracker but after linking a google drive account, only the initial google drive directory can be browsed and accessed, opening any folder within the initial directory results in a "The file or folder /gdrivename/folder does not exist" error. The KDE Online Accounts' renaming prompt also does not work as the button to rename a logged in online account appears to not exist. I will be reporting these bugs upstream if they aren't already. 3. all works! different colour schemes, split views, multiple tabs, downloading colour schemes, you name it, it works :) 4. works perfectly with all files opened alongside all editing functionality and annotation (pen tablet support also works flawlessly!). there appears to be a cosmetic inconsistency where some buttons on some prompts appear to use the oxygen theme(?), appears to be upstream however. 5. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480572 (Resource usage bug, could be abused further to make Elisa use even more ram) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480573 (Audio output bug) 6. Elisa initially worked pretty well importing my library of 7000+ tracks, ram usage initially was oddly high, averaging 540mbs~ after importing said tracks and scrolling through my library, this can also be reproduced by simply scrolling through a large library. Also ran into a (seemingly?) unreported bug with USB audio outputs (I've only tested with a USB audio output) where Elisa changes the sound output to the first sound output (this example, being my monitor.) when playing any track, I will be reporting to upstream. 7. Firefox works as expected, hardware acceleration works out of the box on intel graphics. |
