BUG: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107889
The color mangling issue seems to have been finally addressed with Kernel 4.20. Before this one, I was forced to build my own Kernel for it
to not mangle the colors on one of my monitors.

I've never done anything in a test day before. When I say the extras that had to be installed, I decided not enough space for more rarely to be used devel software., and simply installed
4.20.2.
booted and worked a while, then on a mount(.nfs) command in vtty3 root login I got a screenful+ of call trace
I had to kill bash on vtty3 to restore its use.
